Rashad D. Staton is a highly motivated public servant and leader dedicated to empowering communities and youth through advocacy, organizational capacity-building, and socio-political engagement. Serving as the Executive Director of Community Law in Action (CLIA), he has proven himself as a "Catalyst for Change," working tirelessly to advance equitable policies and initiatives aimed at youth development, civic engagement, and social justice. Rashad has extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, community organizing, and youth advocacy, with a focus on fostering positive, sustainable outcomes for underrepresented communities.
 

His career spans over a decade, during which he has held impactful roles such as Youth Engagement Specialist for Baltimore City Public Schools, Program Assistant at Family League of Baltimore, and Manager of Instruction at Higher Achievement. Rashad’s expertise in program development, public policy advocacy, and cross-sector collaboration has led to the implementation of innovative initiatives aimed at improving youth outcomes, including legislative victories, community policing reforms, and partnerships that emphasize racial and social justice.
 

Rashad is also a dynamic public speaker, having delivered keynotes, facilitated workshops, and engaged in panel discussions at national conferences. He has worked with prominent leaders and organizations, including Congressman Elijah Cummings, Johns Hopkins University, and various local government and civic organizations.

Recognized for his leadership and commitment to social change, Rashad has earned several accolades, including being named a Baltimore Homecoming Hero Finalist and a Leadership Baltimore Fellow. He is also an active board member of multiple organizations, including the Public Justice Center and Restoring Inner City Hope Inc. Rashad continues to inspire and mobilize others through his passion for youth empowerment and dedication to fostering community-driven solutions for a more equitable future.
 

Currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Non-Profit Management, Rashad remains committed to leveraging his expertise and network to build lasting, positive change across Baltimore and beyond.
